In 1911 to celebrate the Coronation of King George V, the Royal Mint released a special St George and the Dragon Gold Proof Half Sovereign Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold Certified Slabbed and Graded by NGC as PF66 Cameo.
The reverse design depicts Pistrucci's St George Slaying the Dragon while the obverse has the Bare Head portrait of King George V.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
