In 1902, to celebrate the Coronation of King Edward VII, the Royal Mint released a special Half Sovereign Gold Matte Proof Coin struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and has been Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR63.

The reverse design depicts Pistrucci's St George Slaying the Dragon, while the obverse features George William De Saulles portrait of King Edward VII.
